Objects in Space is an unofficial fansite for the inhabitants of Joss Whedon's Firefly 'verse. The idea behind the site is simple: find fans, provide interest, keep flying!
In all honesty OiS is one small corner of a far larger tapestry, although hopefully there is enough here to whet your appetite. So to the history lesson. Our shiny boat first took flight as a tv show on Fox back in September 2002. Sadly just thirteen episodes were made, and only ten of these were shown not in their intended order. Despite being cancelled Joss managed to drag our big damn heroes onto the silver screen to general acclaim in September of 2005 in Serenity.
So post Serenity what does the future hold? As of this moment the crew is on some much needed downtime. There is a distant hope that their plans for dealing in black market beagles comes to fruition. That may sound good, but it's possible we're not recalling some of their previous plans. Still, we can take comfort that for now they've done the impossible and that makes them mighty.
And yet who knows? With a fair wind and a lot of good fortune, we may well be invited to share in their further adventures. And even if we aren't, we can be certain that no-one can take the sky from them.
